How does it work?
ReWaste uses anaerobic digestion to convert organic waste to biogas, which is used to create heat and energy. The methane captured will be converted to renewable energy.
How much waste can ReWaste process per day?
We have the capacity to process up to 33,000 tons of organic waste per year, or approximately 140 tons per day.
What types of waste can be processed at ReWaste?
We can process any organic food waste, including fats, oils, greases, vegetable scraps, spoilt liquids, and dairy and other animal waste.
What types of waste can’t be processed at ReWaste?
We can’t process anything non-organic, or that might damage the facility or its processes. For example, plastic and paper packaging, metals, glass, soil, rocks, household green waste such as tree branches, electronics, pharmaceuticals, detergents, toxins, pollutants, biohazards and hazardous chemicals.
How do the costs compare to landfill?
Even taking into account the costs of separating your waste, ReWaste is a competitive alternative to landfill.
Is there a minimum amount of waste you can accept?
